Thanksgiving weather forecast ‘damp and dreary’ for N.J.

Rain falling early Tuesday morning across parts of New Jersey will taper off by afternoon and the busy travel day on Wednesday will be dry, but Thanksgiving is shaping up to be “damp and dreary” in the state with periods of rain for much of the day.
Forecasters say rain that begins in the overnight hours of Wednesday could be heavy at times before it lightens and pushes away from the area from west to east in the late afternoon and evening on Thursday. The National Weather Service is calling for a about a half-inch to an inch of rain before the system is gone.
